FUNDACIÓN DE FAMILIAS MONOPARENTALES ISADORA DUNCAN

The Isadora Duncan – Single Mothers Association, founded in 1984 and transformed into a Foundation in 2006, has been recognised by ECOSOC with Special Consultative Status. For over 40 years, it has advocated for the rights of single-parent families and for effective gender equality. The Foundation develops a range of programmes supporting single-parent families, migrant women, victims of gender-based violence, vulnerable families, and work-life balance initiatives, promoting economic independence and empowerment as cross-cutting principles of its work.

ONE PARENT FAMILIES SCOTLAND

One Parent Families Scotland is Scotland’s national organisation for single parent families. We empower single parents with the right advice and information; we enable parents to access training, employment and education; and we support family wellbeing. We also campaign to reduce child poverty and inequality.

We change lives through our national services and family hubs in five local areas, with outreach from the hubs to neighbouring areas, which reach thousands of single parent families each year. OPFS works to see structural and systemic change alongside single parents, who are experts in their dual role of caregiving and providing for their children.

We embrace an intersectional approach, recognising that most single parents are women and that many racially minoritised, disabled and young single parents encounter numerous structural barriers to accessing essential services and opportunities. Standing alongside single parents, we challenge child poverty and campaign to break down barriers and create a fairer, more equal and inclusive society.

TerritoriAS is an interdisciplinary space created to generate situated knowledge and experiences that promote social transformation from a spatial perspective.

We develop socio-spatial projects and training activities aimed at producing situated knowledge that connects research and action from feminist and decolonial perspectives. We emphasize supporting existing processes—from the most intimate to the collective, from the personal to the communal—with an attitude of listening, respect, and care, seeking creative and sustainable solutions adapted to different possibilities and realities.
