Everyday mobility shapes how people live, work, and care for others—and in European cities, it often determines who can access opportunities andThis project explores how everyday mobility in European cities shapes people’s ability to manage work, care, and well‑being, with a particular emphasis on understanding inequalities that emerge in daily life. It examines how mobility policies can better reflect the lived realities of diverse urban populations and aims to generate insights that support fairer, more inclusive approaches to accessing opportunities and services.
Working across several European cities, the project brings together researchers, students, and civil society groups to build a comparative picture of how mobility relates to social sustainability. The outcome will be a set of broadly applicable insights and recommendations designed to help cities rethink mobility in ways that strengthen everyday life, equity, and well‑being.
