Projects
Gender mainstreaming in infrastructure planning and execution challenges the idea that infrastructure is neutral and universal (Alarcón-García, 2023). It involves analysing whether women and men use infrastructure differently and whether its design reflects traditional gender roles (Alarcón-García and Colino, 2011; Alarcón-García et al., 2012, 2013, 2015, 2024)
Based on this premise, the network has successfully secured both european and national projects, as research teams have included scholars from the European network regardless of institutional or geographical boundaries
